TITLE: Director of Marketing Technology
REPORTING LOCATION: Remote
REPORTS TO: VP of Global Marketing
Primary Objectives
The Director of Marketing Technology will be responsible for the strategic oversight and hands-on management of the company’s marketing technology ecosystem. This role will own and optimize Salesforce.com and HubSpot as the organization’s primary marketing and sales databases, ensuring seamless integration between systems and the alignment of technology to the company’s lead management processes.
The Director will serve as the primary point of contact for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of all third-party, internal, and custom applications within the marketing technology environment. This includes ensuring data flows efficiently, systems operate effectively, and technology supports the execution of marketing campaigns and business objectives.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and manage workflows for: Email communications
Landing pages
Lead nurturing programs
Oversee connectivity and reporting for social media platforms
Lead marketing analytics initiatives, including: Dashboard creation
Performance reporting
Campaign and project success measurement
Drive key projects to: Establish HubSpot as the company’s prospecting database
Implement Salesforce as the CRM for marketing-qualified leads
Design and implement a comprehensive lead process and lead management framework
Collaborate cross-functionally with: Sales
Operations
External technical partners
Ensure the marketing technology stack supports the organization’s growth strategy in the life sciences industry
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proven expertise in Salesforce.com and HubSpot administration, configuration, and optimization.
Demonstrated success implementing integrated marketing technology solutions that support lead management, campaign execution, and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of data privacy legislation, including GDPR, CCPA, and related best practices.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and technologies, including LinkedIn, Google Ads, Global Data, SciLeads, Hunter.io, and ClickUp.
Technical And Functional Skills
Ability to design, build, and manage workflows for email campaigns, landing pages, and lead nurturing programs.
Proficiency in integrating and managing third-party applications within a marketing technology stack.
Skilled in marketing analytics, data segmentation, and dashboard/report creation.
Understanding of social media management tools and their integration with marketing platforms, with an emphasis on connectivity and reporting rather than content creation.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex technological initiatives on time and within scope.
Soft Skills And Competencies
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external vendors.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a remote working environment.
Other Requirements
Remote position with minimal travel required for occasional in-person meetings.
Success in the role will be measured by achievement of defined project objectives within agreed timelines.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree a plus in related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing enterprise-level CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
Experience within the life sciences industry or a closely related sector.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer in a typical office environment in a multi-level facility or home office.
