Position Summary
NMF seeks a strategic and sales-minded Director of Marketing Communications ( Sales-Focused) to lead marketing, communications, and revenue-generating partnerships. This role focuses on developing and executing comprehensive marketing and sales strategies that strengthen NMF's brand visibility, expand organizational reach, and drive revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns.
This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in the Northeast U.S .
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies aligned with NMF's mission and revenue goals Create and manage annual marketing budget and resource allocation Lead the marketing team and coordinate with development, programs, and executive leadership Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to measure marketing effectiveness Revenue Generation & Sales Identify, pursue, and secure new corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and major donors Create sales materials, proposals, and presentations for partnership opportunities Negotiate partnership agreements and steward existing relationships Collaborate with development team to support fundraising campaigns and initiatives Brand Development & Communications Oversee brand strategy, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms Manage content creation for website, social media, newsletters, annual reports, and marketing collateral Supervise digital marketing strategies, including SEO, email marketing, and social media campaigns Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all communications Market Research & Engagement Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for program growth and revenue generation Analyze donor and stakeholder data to inform targeted marketing strategies Monitor industry trends and competitor activities Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics Event Marketing Develop strategic marketing plans for fundraising events, scholarship ceremonies, and conferences Oversee promotion and audience development for events Leverage events for partnership development and donor cultivation Requirements
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred) 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing with demonstrable sales or revenue generation success Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue Experience building corporate partnerships and securing sponsorships Strong relationship-building and networking abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring ROI Proficiency with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools Project management expertise with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Preferred Qualifications: Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or philanthropy sectors Previous experience marketing scholarship programs or professional development initiatives Knowledge of the healthcare education landscape Experience with fundraising campaign development and execution Familiarity with grant writing processes and foundation relationships Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Employer-contributed retirement plan Generous paid time off Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance Opportunities for professional development and growth
