Role Overview As our Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy , you’ll lead both internal and client-facing marketing across Surroundings Group and Nautical Network. You’ll bring bold creative direction and sharp execution to grow brand visibility, drive high-quality leads, and expand our presence across luxury verticals like aviation, real estate, marine, and lifestyle. This is not a mid-level role, it’s a cornerstone hire. We’re looking for a builder and leader who will own the success of our marketing strategy, shape how new brands go to market, and play a central role in our next stage of growth. You’ll start by rolling up your sleeves to lead key initiatives, then scale our marketing department and systems around what works. What You’ll Own
Strategic Leadership & Team Oversight Lead and manage SG’s marketing department across internal and client campaigns Set and evolve the overall marketing vision in alignment with business growth goals Provide mentorship, direction, and clarity to creative and marketing team members Ensure delivery across all campaigns, on time, on brand, and on budget
Campaign Strategy & Execution Develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across social, paid media, web, and content platforms Guide campaign messaging, design direction, platform strategies, and channel prioritization Ensure a premium standard across all creative, every post, ad, and asset performs and persuades
Content & Channel Management Oversee the content strategy for both SG/NN and client accounts Approve and guide monthly social media calendars, visual storytelling, and content repurposing Lead initiatives to increase reach, engagement, and follower quality across priority platforms
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization Monitor KPIs across campaigns, channels, and verticals - social, web, email, and paid Deliver clear reporting with insights that translate into action Use data to optimize creative direction, audience segmentation, and media mix
Collaboration & Communication Work cross-functionally with leadership, sales, production, and design teams Build relationships with external partners, vendors, influencers, and talent as needed Represent the marketing team in internal planning and high-stakes client-facing presentations
Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team management role Proven background in digital and content marketing, including social media strategy and platform execution Experience in luxury goods/services, premium brands, or creative agencies strongly preferred Fluency in marketing operations, project management systems, reporting tools, automation platforms Exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills Strong brand taste with a performance mindset, knows what looks great and drives results Experience working in high-trust, client-facing environments A personality that will mesh well with the Surroundings Group family
Work Schedule This is a full-time, in-office role in Tampa, FL. Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:00pm EST Must be open to occasional weekend work and travel based on campaign needs and activations
