SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Communications Director under the supervision of the Director Oncology Services/Marketing Liaison, oversees the company’s internal and external branding, public relations and marketing communications including planning, presenting and implementing ograms/campaigns, messaging strategy, and departmental plans. Lexington Clinic’s corporate messages, as well as specific service lines and departments, are key elements to be promoted. A dual role, the position is responsible for managing the marketing staff, including assignment of tasks to ensure workflow is efficiently and evenly distributed and completed according to the marketing team vision and standards.
The Marketing & Communications Director also acts as the company spokesperson and must travel frequently to other facilities and have access to appropriate transportation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will be indicated by a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or public relations; minimum 10 years in marketing, public relations, and business development functions; independent judgment; writing across media, editing and proofreading; experience with basic office equipment, proficiency with English language. Healthcare experience preferred. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; experience with desktop publishing software a plus. Must have proven leadership experience, demonstrate the ability to organize, communicate effectively with staff and public; ability to interact with people diplomatically; ability to evaluate situations and problem-solve and make appropriate decisions in the absence of instructions. Travel and a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required as indicated in the Lexington Clinic automobile insurance policy.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; articulate speech.
