The Director of Marketing and Communication leads the development and execution of BiG's brand and messaging strategy. This role supports multiple departments by creating cohesive, mission-aligned communications that improve audience engagement, increase awareness, and drive both sales and donations. From managing social media to shaping donor messaging and storytelling, this role ensures that BiG is seen, heard, and experienced with clarity and purpose. Key Responsibilities: Brand & Strategy
- Serve as the brand steward for BiG's voice, tone, and visual across all platforms - Lead organization-wide marketing strategy in partnership with leadership and development teams - Develop brand-forward campaigns that highlight the stories, creativity, and dignity of BiG Digital & Social Media - Manage BiG's digital presence including social media, website, Yelp, and Google Reviews - Build and execute a content calendar to increase visibility and engagement across channels - Monitor analytics and adapt strategies based on performance and engagement metrics Content Creation & Communication - Write and design donor newsletters, updates, promotional materials, and internal communication pieces - Collaborate with departments to streamline messaging and support specific programmatic goals - Create content that promotes enterprise sales, fundraising campaigns, and community impact Event & Speaking Support - Support event marketing including promotions, signage, programs, and post-event communication - Provide creative and logistical support for speaking engagements, presentations, and community events - Represent BiG at speaking engagements and public events when appropriate - Ensure all public-facing opportunities are aligned with BiG's mission, tone, and brand Community Engagement & Outreach - Develop strategies that connect the broader community to BiG's mission and programs - Share the stories of in ways that inspire action, investment, and advocacy - Create campaign materials that mobilize support and expand BiG's reach and influence Team Collaboration & Leadership - Work cross-functionally with internal departments to identify communication needs and opportunities - Manage outside vendors, designers, and photographers as needed - Maintain editorial calendars and ensure timely delivery of all communications Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or branding (nonprofit or mission-driven experience ) - Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to communicate with clarity, warmth, and purpose - Experience managing social media, websites, and email marketing tools (e.g., WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe, etc.) - Strong project management and organizational skills - Familiarity with event promotion and public engagement - A passion for BiG's mission and a commitment to changing the way the world views adults with special needs Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: Day shift Shift availability: Day Shift () Ability to Commute: Georgetown, TX 78626 (Required) Work Location: Hybrid
