The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the facility's maintenance operations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities The Maintenance Director manages the maintenance team, ensuring that all staff are properly trained and compliant with safety policies and procedures

Responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing preventative maintenance programs, as well as addressing any urgent repair needs that arise

Ensures the facility complies with all federal, state and local regulations, including Life Safety Code compliance, including safety drills and training on emergency procedures

Prepare and manage maintenance budget, ensuring htat all expenditures are within budgetary limits

Oversee the general upkeep of the facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other mechanical systems, ensuring that everything operates efficiently and safely

Key Skills and Qualifications A minimum of three years in a supervisory maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting

A strong understanding of various systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and the ability to manage maintenance tasks effectively is essential

The ability to lead and motivate a team, along with strong organizational skills, is crucial for success in this role
