Sweet Aviation operates services out of multiple airports in Northeast Indiana including Part 61 & Part 141 flight training, a Part 145 aircraft maintenance and avionics provider, FBO facilities and Part 135 charter flights. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Overseeing compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements * Promotes safety throughout the organization as mandated through company policies identified by management. * Oversee and own relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction with Sweet Aviation Maintenance through adherence of our motto to "Always do the Right Thing". * Creating a culture of accountability through communication of clear expectations * Coaching, leading and providing development opportunities for Aircraft maintenance team members. * Creating an inclusive and trusted environment where collaboration and communication are key * Overseeing the scheduling of aircraft repairs, compliance inspections, and ensuring timely and quality completion. * Responsible for reviewing and approving contracts related to maintenance assets and outsourced vendors. * Proper storage, parts identification, core return, and other parts function are critical to this role to ensure FAA compliance. * Support, develop, write, and maintain maintenance standard operating procedures and manuals.
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS*:
* Associate Degree, Bachelor's degree, preferred * Current FAA Aircraft and PowerPlant Mechanics license, required * Inspectors Authorization (IA), required * Respectable approach to working with FAA Inspectors * Must meet FAA minimum requirements for Director of Maintenance as a Part 145 Repair Station * Certified under FAA part 65 and thoroughly familiar with FAR 145, FAR 65, FAR 39 and FAR 43. * Proven leadership skills with experience leading and coaching aviation team members in order to better serve our customers * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must be able to meet strict deadlines for operational requirements * Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
