Overview: Vita of Greenfield Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a creative and compassionate Life Enrichment Director to enhance the quality of life for our residents in both assisted living and memory care settings. The ideal candidate will develop and implement engaging programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Time: Monday-Friday
- Program Development:
Create and implement a diverse calendar of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, including art, music, fitness, and social events. Develop specialized programs for memory care residents that focus on cognitive stimulation and emotional connection.
- Resident Engagement:
Build relationships with residents to understand their interests, needs, and preferences. Encourage resident participation in activities and foster a sense of community.
- Staff Training and Leadership:
Train and supervise activity staff and volunteers, ensuring effective program delivery. Collaborate with nursing and care staff to integrate therapeutic activities into residents’ care plans.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct regular assessments of residents’ interests and needs to tailor programs accordingly. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to improve resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Community Relations:
Build relationships with families and community organizations to enhance programming and support residents. Organize special events and outings that foster community involvement.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback. Prepare reports on program outcomes and resident engagement for management review.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership role in assisted living, memory care, or a related environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of seniors, particularly those with memory impairments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in therapeutic recreation or similar credentials is a plus.
