Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Citizen Watch America Sr. Director, Human Resources and NYC Operations, Citizen Watch America Summary The Director of Learning and Development (L&D) leads our internal learning initiatives during a transformative period in our organization. Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will play a critical role in two initial focus areas: Lead training strategy and delivery for our large-scale SAP ERP implementation. Assess enterprise-wide training needs and define a scalable, modern L&D ecosystem to support a long-term learning strategy across the organization This role will collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders across retail channels, HR, IT, and functional departments to ensure the right platform and tools are in place to create tailored learning experiences that align with business goals and drive performance. Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy for our SAP ERP rollout, ensuring adoption and competency across all impacted departments. Partner with the ERP project team, functional leads, and external vendors to create engaging and effective training content (e.g., eLearning, job aids, workshops). Work with business leaders to ensure B2B customers are aware of upcoming changes and know how to utilize new systems and processes. Work with 3rd party vendor partners to ensure proper documentation and training materials are available for all new systems and processes. Establish feedback mechanisms to measure training effectiveness and continuously optimize the program. Enterprise Learning & Development Strategy Conduct a comprehensive training needs assessment across the organization. Identify gaps in current tools, systems, and content delivery methods to recommend scalable learning technologies/platforms. Collaborate with senior leaders to develop a functional learning roadmap aligned with strategic business priorities. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Build strong relationships with department heads to co-create learning plans that support specific team capabilities and growth. Partner with learning advocates and leaders across business functions to ensure tools are being leveraged, content shared and refreshed and that there is continuous improvement for elevated learning experiences. Serve as a strategic advisor to HR and the CTO on all learning and development matters. Measurement & Continuous Improvement Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and learning metrics to measure training impact. Leverage data and feedback to continuously refine training programs and strategies. Monitor industry trends and best practices in L&D to continuously improve training programs. Qualifications: 8–12 years of progressive experience in learning and development, including leadership roles. Demonstrated success leading L&D efforts in a technology-driven change environment, ideally including ERP or SAP implementations. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design. Experience expanding learning platforms to multiple functions in an enterprise including HR, Retail and Sales, Customer Service. Experience developing scalable training strategies using best in class technology and processes. Experience with L&D platforms (e.g., LMS, LXP, digital adoption platforms) and training content development tools. Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
