In this pivotal role, you will organize, direct, and oversee the functions of the OB unit, which includes five Labor & Delivery rooms, 15 postpartum beds, and a one-bed level 2 nursery (NICU). Your responsibilities will involve ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining safe staffing levels, managing supplies and equipment, and optimizing patient throughput. Additionally, you will develop, implement, and manage the department budget, engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invest in lifelong learning for staff professional development, and ensure employees complete all required annual competencies. Communication with senior leadership, including the CNO, will be essential.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree is required
Master's degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state is required
Required Certification:
BLS is required
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a Director-level role is required
