What will I do as an employee with Redstone?

As the Director of Home Health, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities:

  • Clinical and Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership to the Home Health team, offering clinical expertise and guidance. This includes supporting core values, managing staff communication, and addressing behavioral issues.

  • Care Management and Coordination: Oversee all aspects of client care coordination, ensuring the timely and accurate development, implementation, and assessment of individualized plans of care (POC). This includes integrating and gaining approval for physician orders, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring client satisfaction, and managing medical supply inventory.

  • Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full oversight of the program's clinical operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accrediting bodies, and payer rules (reimbursement). This involves monitoring clinical documentation, auditing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), participating in the Professional Advisory Committee, and completing clinical records reviews.

  • Operations and Administration: Direct, supervise, and consult with clinical staff, serving as a resource for clinical activities. Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating the physician's plan of treatment, collaborating on referrals, coordinating 24/7 department schedules (including on-call), managing census in line with the budget, and reviewing client intake processes.

  • People Management and Development: Be responsible for the full scope of staff management, including interviewing, selection, setting performance expectations, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluation. This role also focuses on fostering a positive work environment and leading staff training and orientation programs.


What do I need to qualify for this role with Redstone?

  • Registered Nurse (BSN preferred), and hold an unencumbered license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • One (1) year experience in home health care/hospice/long term care.
  • One (1) year experience in a Medicare-certified home health agency is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in health care accounting is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and acceptable driving record.
