This position can be worked remotely within US with travel to the offices as needed OR as a hybrid work model out of any of StandardAero’s US facilities.
StandardAero is a newly public, rapidly growing Aerospace company. As we transition into this exciting new phase, we are building a world-class People team that will support and scale our global workforce.
We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Director of Global Compensation to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our compensation programs across all geographies. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the VP of Total Rewards , with the opportunity to shape the future of how we reward, retain, and motivate top talent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the global compensation strategy aligned with our business goals, market positioning, and equity philosophy as a newly public company.
Act as a trusted advisor and clear communicator to senior leadership, providing insight and education on compensation strategies, pay equity, and market trends.
Partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to ensure compensation practices support workforce planning, compliance, and internal equity.
Manage executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term equity plans, with a focus on public company compliance and disclosure (e.g., CD&A, proxy preparation).
Oversee global compensation benchmarking, job architecture, market pricing, and compensation survey participation.
Provide strategic guidance on compensation for international expansion, M&A activities, and evolving labor markets.
Establish scalable compensation governance frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance in all operating regions.
Lead the design and execution of the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit increases, bonus planning, and equity refreshes.
Educate senior leaders on compensation philosophy and practices to ensure understanding and alignment across the organization.
Manage and mentor a small team of compensation professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, including global and executive compensation.
Experience in a public company environment
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in compensation tools and platforms
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field
Preferred Characteristics:
Experience in a newly public company, or IPO experience preferred.
Knowledge of equity compensation (RSUs, options), SEC regulations, and executive pay disclosure preferred.
MBA or CCP certification considered an asset.
