About the Client
Our client is a prominent private equity firm seeking an accomplished
Director of FP&A
for one of its fastest-growing portfolio companies. Headquartered in the
Miami–Fort Lauderdale metro area , this business is scaling rapidly and requires a finance leader with deep FP&A expertise to support strategic growth, operational decision-making, and long-term value creation.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the
Director of FP&A
will lead the company’s financial planning and analysis function, driving budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic financial modeling. This highly visible role is ideal for a forward-thinking finance professional with experience in private equity-backed environments and a strong track record of enabling business scale through data-driven insight and financial discipline.
The role is based in South Florida with a hybrid work arrangement— 2–3 days per month on-site , with flexibility otherwise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
Provide strategic analysis and insights to executive leadership, identifying growth opportunities and operational efficiencies
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, and M&A evaluation
Deliver executive-level dashboards, financial reports, and presentations with variance analysis and key performance trends
Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to align financial plans with operational objectives
Support capital planning, board reporting, and investor communications
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to streamline planning and reporting functions
Hire, mentor, and develop FP&A team members to support a high-performance finance function
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within private equity-backed or high-growth environments
Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills
Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial metrics to operational performance
Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
Experience supporting M&A or corporate development initiatives is a strong plus
Base Salary:
$185,000 – $215,000, commensurate with experience
