A growing organization in the construction materials sector is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its financial operations and provide support in key human resources functions. This high-impact role combines financial leadership with oversight of payroll and employee onboarding, making it ideal for a candidate who is both strategic and hands-on. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Lead all aspects of accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management. Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to support leadership decision-making. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial requirements. Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial partners. Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets. Payroll & HR Support Oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments. Manage employee onboarding, including documentation, benefits enrollment, and orientation. Address routine HR inquiries and ensure compliance with employment regulations. Maintain accurate employee files and records. Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a key partner to executive leadership in shaping financial strategy. Mentor and support accounting and administrative staff. Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to align financial and business objectives. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred). 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with proven leadership responsibilities. Background in construction, building materials, or manufacturing industries strongly preferred. Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, and compliance standards. Familiarity with payroll processing and basic HR practices. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
