Position Mission
The mission of the Director of Finance is to support the financial growth and sustainability of Homewise through strategic capital management, financial operations, and real estate development financial oversight. This role ensures that financial planning, modeling, and reporting support high-quality decision-making and long-term organizational success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The is responsible for carrying out the following duties:
Support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with company growth and development goals.
Assist in capital planning initiatives including debt structuring, forecasting, and financial strategy.
Partner with the CFO to evaluate capital allocation across the development portfolio and Balance Sheet
Prepare financial materials and analyses for investors, lenders, strategic partners and Board Committees
Support due diligence processes and investor communications
Coordinate with external stakeholders on financial matters related to investments and real estate developments
Analyze departmental financial statements and collaborate with operations teams to integrate financial planning into project execution
Develop and maintain complex financial models, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing
Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across projects and the Balance Sheet
Conduct affordability analysis to support the Real Estate Development team
Analyze the lending and real estate development portfolio performance analysis to support strategic decision-making
Build and review project pro formas, acquisition underwriting models, and development budgets
Analyze potential real estate investments for feasibility, return on investment, and risk
Collaborate with real estate development team on project tracking, cost management, and budget control
Support analysis and negotiations related to construction loans, bridge financing, and long-term debt
Recommend optimal lending strategies based on project needs and market conditions
Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, real estate development finance, or capital markets
Experience with financial modeling, real estate underwriting, and investor relations preferred
Work Schedule
Ability to travel as needed.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements.
This is largely a sedentary role; it requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Must be able to bend and file regularly
