Job Description
The Director of Finance & Business Systems is a financial and technical leader who leverages their accounting and finance knowledge with business systems expertise to improve enterprise processes, drive automation, and optimize operational efficiency. This role serves as a key link between Finance, IT, and other business units, ensuring that financial systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support both operational and strategic goals. The ideal candidate brings controller-level experience, understands complex financial workflows, and is capable of leading large-scale ERP and system transformation initiatives across a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute the business systems strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
· Work on integration of new companies to integrate their systems into our overall group portfolio
· Collaborate with business units to assess needs, identify gaps, and implement system-based solutions.
· Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and security standards.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process redesign, and system enhancements.
· Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance.
· Oversee change management and end-user training during new system rollouts or upgrades.
· Monitor KPIs to measure system performance and business impact.
· Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies that can improve operations.
· Manage our current ERP (Infor Visual), and build BI tools to help develop a more integrated network
· Manage all aspects of our CRM platform (Salesforce) and help with customizable dashboards
· Integrate Datarails financial platform across the company
· Business Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements for financial systems.
· System Configuration and Optimization: Configuring and optimizing financial modules within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Oracle ERP Cloud or other financial software.
· Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing financial data, generating reports, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
· System Testing and Implementation: Participating in system testing, ensuring that new systems or enhancements meet business requirements and are effectively integrated with other systems.
· Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on new or updated financial systems.
· Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with IT teams, finance staff, and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the system implementation and maintenance process.
· Specific tasks might include:
o Developing and implementing Sub-ledger Accounting (SLA) rules.
o Configuring bank accounts, payment methods, and other financial settings.
o Maintaining tracking systems for financial data.
o Evaluating and recommending new financial system modules or upgrades.
o Troubleshooting system issues and ensuring data accuracy.
Education & Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Systems, or Information Systems (Master’s or MBA preferred).
· 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business systems leadership roles, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
· Proven experience with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Infor Visual, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, NetSuite).
· Proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Datarails, etc.).
· Strong knowledge of business analysis skills, systems integration, and data governance.
· Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
· Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a highly regulated industry.
· Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or relevant systems certifications (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, etc.).
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Work Environment:
· Office-based with occasional travel to other facilities or vendor sites.
· May require extended hours during system go-lives or major upgrades.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time salary position required to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
