About the Role We are seeking an accomplished Facilities Director to oversee the operations, maintenance, and strategic management of a large, multi-site portfolio in the San Diego area. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring optimal building performance, operational efficiency, and an exceptional workplace experience for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day operations of facilities, including maintenance, engineering, safety, and sustainability programs. Develop and implement long-term facilities strategies that align with client objectives. Oversee a team of managers, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and high performance. Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and performance metrics to ensure value and compliance. Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Drive continuous improvement in building operations, energy efficiency, and environmental performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Act as the primary point of contact for client leadership, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities or operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven success managing large, complex sites or multi-site portfolios. Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and sustainability initiatives.
