Director of Environmental Services - Assisted Living Facility

A beautiful privately owned assisted living facility located near  Glenham, NY is looking for a  Director of Environmental Services .

Responsibilities: Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of Environmental Service to ensure that the community is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner Coordinate environmental services tasks and duties community wide Direct and/or perform routine maintenance on grounds as necessary Supervise safety and fire prevention programs Inspect work areas and equipment weekly Direct and monitor fire drills Asses response times and make recommendations Insure that all building systems are in working order and perform or oversee the performance of preventative maintenance Schedule work hours for staff, assign work duties and cleaning schedules to expedite work Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as necessary Maintain a productive working relationship with other department supervisors and coordinate environmental services to assure that care and services can be performed without interruption Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the community Qualifications of the Director of Environmental Services: Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant and housekeeping related position in an assisted living facility Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems Must be knowledgeable in safety regulations Must be knowledgeable of environmental practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing environmental functions in the nursing care community; and willing to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices Hudson View Network is a medical recruiting firm whose goal is to bridge exceptional talent to superior institutions.
