Job Purpose: Responsible for managing product design execution activities related to electrical and test engineering with the goal of achieving and maintaining the vision of providing an outstanding customer experience that enables manufacturing revenue, contributes to profitability and shareholder value, creates value for our customers and suppliers and creates competitive advantage that differentiates Sanmina.

The primary functional oversight responsibilities are: Planning and collaboration with the technical sales and project management teams Support technical sales activities, labs and associated equipment and resources Manage design team execution Work with the team and customers to resolve technical challenges as they arise Ensure team compliance with quality processes Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability Ensure regulatory compliance Ensure that design inputs are achieved in design outputs Ensure that risk management practices are applied and executed Manage resources to maintain schedule compliance Manage product requirements with our customers Oversee technical reviews Ensure proper training and career growth of the team members Ensure appropriate capabilities for current and new technologies and applications Develop strategic packaged solutions that can benefit different customers through reuse Significant executive engineering management experience in the design and development field, and possess a solid and diversified technical/engineering knowledge base (Advanced degree in technical/engineering discipline desirable) Additional experience in other areas (optics, fluidics, chemistry, etc.) a plus.
