Position Overview:
The Director of Engineering will provide strategic direction and oversight to our design team, which includes system, test, electrical/firmware, and CMOS engineers. This role combines technical leadership with strategic planning and operational excellence to drive innovation and ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evolve our technology and product roadmap to meet market needs and execute internal Research and Development activities in support of the roadmap.
• Enable CMOS design innovation and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Support the front end of the business by guiding the preparation of proposal strategies, technical solutions, and cost estimates.
• Oversee the execution and delivery of contracted programs, including successful milestone reviews, ensuring test readiness, and delivering test results on time to meet customer needs.
• Maintain effective processes for engineering design, ensure compliance with AS9100 and internal controls, and drive accountability through Key Performance Indicators appropriate to the engineering function.
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, lead hiring and professional development efforts, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering output with business needs.
• Own engineering budgets and resource planning, and establish and enforce engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
• Technical degree (BS required, MS/PhD preferred) in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in Aerospace & Defense, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Strategic leadership experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and improvements.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Salary Range:
$177,500.00-$236,600.000 Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
