As the instructional leader, the Program Director will play a critical role in elevating student achievement by effectively implementing instructional practices in line with ChanceLight's policies. Collaborating with education staff and senior leadership, the Program Director will enhance students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes through evidence-based interventions that boost student engagement. This position operates as the acting School Principal, overseeing all site operations, ensuring a safe learning environment, and fostering positive relationships between the site and school district contacts. Key Responsibilities: Lead vision and strategy to support student achievement and operational effectiveness through staff supervision, performance management, and professional development. Participate in recruiting and selecting an effective site team. Assess staff professional development needs and align training with ChanceLight's instructional vision. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, maintenance, administration, and community relations. Manage the enrollment process to ensure appropriate classroom placements and smooth transitions for students. Evaluate and ensure fidelity of instructional materials and practices for staff and students. Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and create Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs. Develop measurable IEP goals in collaboration with education personnel. Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions to foster positive outcomes. Provide crisis management support for students with challenging behaviors. Ensure adherence to education regulations and maintain detailed compliance records. Participate in the site’s accreditation processes. Stay updated on educational best practices and contribute to organizational initiatives. Facilitate constructive feedback exchanges among the team and support collaborative efforts. Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in educational leadership, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field. Meet all state and district licensing requirements. Currently licensed or on track for BCBA accreditation. Preferred: educational leadership or administration credential. Minimum of 5 years in special education services, with emphasis on students with developmental disabilities. At least 3 years in educational leadership or school administration roles. Effective management skills and knowledge of school operations. Experienced in curriculum development and instruction. Strong skills working with severe disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Well-versed in applied behavior analysis and crisis management techniques. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships. Advanced communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite. Exhibit characteristics of servant leadership with a focus on team support and personal development.
