Position Summary

The Nurse Educator will be responsible the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that support the clinical staff of the Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA). This role ensures that all field and office-based clinical personnel meet regulatory standards, maintain clinical competency, and are provided with ongoing professional development opportunities to support high-quality patient care in the home setting.

Key Responsibilities Design, deliver, and evaluate orientation and onboarding programs for new clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, HHAs, and therapists. Provide ongoing clinical education based on staff needs, quality improvement initiatives, plans of correction and regulatory changes Conduct in-services, skills assessments, and annual competencies for field clinicians. Maintain training records in compliance with CHHA and regulatory changes Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) team to address identified knowledge gaps or areas for clinical improvement. Support staff in preparation for accreditation or audit reviews through education and performance coaching Develop a syllabus of evidence-based training materials aligned with current best practices and agency policies. Participate in the development and revision of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff, promoting excellence in home care nursing practice. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational interventions and report outcomes to leadership. Stay current with regulatory standards (DOH, CMS, Joint Commission), clinical trends, and industry best practices. Utilize and manage digital training platforms to educate staff remotely, as needed, by creating new or utilize existing education, as well as create and manage student groups for targeted training. Qualifications Current RN license in NYS Bachelor's degree in nursing required, Master's preferred Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience in home health or community health required. At least 1-2 years of experience in nursing education or staff development. Knowledge of CHHA regulations, OASIS documentation, and home care clinical practices. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Preferred Attributes Certification in Nursing Professional Development (e.g., NPD-BC) a plus OASIS-C certification a plus CCM certification a plus Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement

Salary: 145K - 170K
