We are seeking an accomplished data leader to define and execute enterprise-wide data strategy in a healthcare environment. This role will drive governance, analytics, security, and infrastructure initiatives while spearheading the adoption of AI and intelligent automation. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Senior Director will oversee the build-out of scalable data platforms, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a culture where data and AI create measurable impact across patient outcomes and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & Leadership Define and execute a comprehensive data roadmap aligned with business and healthcare objectives. Champion the use of data and AI as strategic enablers of innovation, patient care, and efficiency.
AI & Intelligent Automation Lead initiatives to build and deploy AI agents that improve decision-making, automate processes, and unlock insights. Drive AI adoption across business units, creating frameworks for responsible, compliant, and explainable use of AI.
Governance & Compliance Establish data governance frameworks to ensure quality, integrity, and security. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, PHI regulations, and spearhead HITRUST certification.
Data Security Implement enterprise-grade safeguards to protect sensitive healthcare information. Proactively manage risks tied to privacy, access, and regulatory obligations.
Data Architecture & Infrastructure Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, cloud-based data platforms. Leverage the current Azure and Snowflake environments to optimize analytics, storage, and integration. Maintain a solution-agnostic approach, evaluating and recommending new platforms or tools as future needs evolve.
Advanced Analytics & BI Expand predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities to support proactive insights. Deliver self-service BI tools and intuitive data access across the organization.
Team & Talent Development Build and mentor a high-performing data and AI team. Create structured training, career paths, and a culture of innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with senior leaders to embed data and AI into all areas of the business. Advocate for data-driven decision-making across clinical, operational, and strategic functions.
Technology & Vendor Management Evaluate emerging technologies in data and AI for healthcare application. Manage vendors and partners to ensure compliance, scalability, and value delivery.
Performance & Measurement Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of data and AI initiatives. Provide regular reporting to the executive team on outcomes, efficiencies, and compliance.
Proven track record in senior-level data leadership, ideally within healthcare.
Expertise in data governance, regulatory compliance, and data security.
Deep hands-on experience with Azure and Snowflake data platforms.
Strong background in AI/ML adoption, with experience developing AI agents and automation frameworks.
Visionary yet pragmatic leader who can balance current platform investments with future-focused, agnostic recommendations.
Executive presence with the ability to influence peers, leadership, and external partners.
