* The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You'll Perform the Role
We're looking for a Director of Data Governance to join our Data & Analytics team and lead the governance, quality, and stewardship of enterprise data. This role will establish and manage Novolex's data governance framework, working closely with the Data Council, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure trusted, high-quality data is available across the organization.
Execute Novolex's data governance strategy and roadmap .
Partner with the Data Council and Data Stewards to operationalize governance practices.
Establish policies, standards, and processes for data quality, ownership, security, and compliance .
Lead implementation of the Data Catalog program (using platforms such as Alation).
Drive adoption of governance tools and best practices across the enterprise.
Ensure governance policies align with ERP platforms (preferably SAP ) and other key applications (e.g., Workday, One Stream, Coupa, SAP MII).
Partner with technology teams to enable governance integration into the Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics ecosystem (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Power BI).
Track and report on key governance metrics, ensuring visibility and accountability.
Provide leadership updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Mentor and develop governance and stewardship capabilities across the organization.
What We Need From You
10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise information management .
Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (SAP preferred) and other enterprise applications (Workday, Salesforce, One Stream, Coupa).
Hands-on experience with data catalog and metadata management tools (Alation platform experience preferred).
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics ecosystem (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Power BI).
Proven track record of establishing governance frameworks and driving adoption.
Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices .
Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership in building cross-functional alignment and culture of accountability.
