Summary
This position is responsible for leading and implementing enterprise-wide initiatives related to data strategy, business intelligence, and emerging artificial intelligence capabilities. The role will shape and transform organizational data into actionable insights and automation solutions that drive strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation while utilizing their deep expertise in: Power BI, cloud data platforms, artificial intelligence, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Partner with the CIO to define and implement data and AI strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Build and lead the delivery of products, services and visualization for the organization.
Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning across data, analytics, and AI initiatives.
Act as a key thought leader in advancing the organization’s use of data and AI, continuously assessing market trends and new capabilities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align AI and data strategy with operational needs and long-term strategic plans.
Program & Project Management
Partner with Manager of Projects and Programs to manage full lifecycle of data and AI initiatives—from discovery and planning to delivery and optimization.
Drive Agile project delivery, sprint planning, KPI development, and cross-functional collaboration.
Aid in vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets related to AI, Data Analytics and Master Data Management to maximize value and mitigate risk.
Coordinate the integration of newly acquired technologies and platforms into the broader organization structure.
Data Analytics, Data Management & Business Intelligence
In partnership with the CIO develop and oversee enterprise Power BI solutions, ensuring actionable, real-time insights for executives and operational teams.
Lead the development of dashboards and reports for key business functions including finance, operations, construction, and IT.
Ensure robust data governance, integrity, and security across platforms and use cases.
Implement and manage the master data management (MDM) and data strategy in partnership with CIO
Serve as internal AI, analytics and data subject matter expert
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Guide the selection and application of AI technologies such as NLP, forecasting models, and generative AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Joist, CoPilot, Etc.).
Identify use cases for AI automation and augmentation of business processes.
Oversee training initiatives in prompt engineering, responsible AI use, and hands-on exploration of emerging tools.
Build on current policy and guidelines to maintain critical governance and risk management of A.I. practices aligned to the organization Enterprise Risk Management committee.
Partner with CIO for data privacy, data management and data design structure of A.I. in the KA enterprise architecture.
Research and identify and recommend innovative A.I. tools to CIO and BTIC committee for further analysis and testing.
Serve as the point of contact for enterprise AI platform configuration, security and utilization.
General Support and Maintenance:
Support and maintain the toolsets, including but not limited to MRI, VersaPay, Amicus, Avid, Conservice, ADP, Etc.
Partner with the Helpdesk on support methodology, responsibilities matrix and support structures
Manage all upgrades and implementations of assigned toolset via the CIO
Influence ideas and process related to data analytics and AI to best support internal user experience with technologies.
Own the configuration and administration of primary toolsets as well as 100s of secondary/tertiary applications.
Ensure toolsets that support AI functions are optimized, maintained and aligned to business needs and security protocols.
Team Leadership:
Partner with the CIO to drive the strategy of the IT department and organization and create an inclusive culture to embrace change, innovation and technology.
Direct supervisory responsibility for a team of direct reports.
Responsible for the growth and development of direct reports. Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
Ability to lead and work with others cooperatively recognizes and reward people for their achievements; and provides constructive and timely coaching, performance assessment and feedback.
Foster cross-functional team collaboration between IT, operations, finance and field teams to strengthen data-informed decision-making and drive performance.
Champion internal upskilling around analytics and AI to better integrate data access and empower end users.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General:
10+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or technical program management roles.
5+ years’ experience leading a team
5+ years in AI/ML project delivery or emerging tech strategy roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python/R, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS).
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale data strategy, cloud migration, and analytics modernization.
Expertise in Agile methodologies, team coaching, and stakeholder engagement
Proven track record of mentoring data professionals and managing Communities of Practice.
Understanding of business value related to features and functions
Demonstrated computer proficiency Microsoft O365(Word, Excel and Outlook, SharePoint), and other Building Information Modeling technologies.
Ability to identify project specific design phase needs related VDC/BIM applications and work with internal and external resources for appropriate deployment on a project.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, building and maintaining a positive team environment
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the organization who can provide information, assistance and support
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
Other:
Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Travel as required for project needs.

Frequently sits, stands and talks.

Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must work on ladders at Data Center server racks, server rooms and offices as necessary to service server and network components.
Ability to maneuver on ladders and scaffolding, walk through sand or mud, climb on and around vehicles and construction equipment at construction sites.
Salary Range: $150,000 to $180,000 annually, plus discretionary incentive program.
Pay is based on many factors including but not limited to education, skill, experience, training, certifications, and other business needs.
