Job Summary: The Director of Critical Care Services oversees the operations, workflows, and resources of the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Respiratory Therapy departments. Key Responsibilities: Establishes departmental goals and objectives that align with the medical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards of our health care delivery system. Manages clinical activities including patient assessments, care plan development, service level determination, patient interactions, and complaint resolution. Plans, organizes, and directs activities related to staffing, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluation, and continuing education initiatives. Develops and manages departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated funds while coordinating both internal and external audits. Maintains alertness and a safe working environment. Performs additional tasks as needed to support the organization. Education: Master's degree in Nursing or a related field; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required if the Master's degree is not in Nursing. Experience: A minimum of three years as a registered nurse, including at least one year in a management or leadership role. Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Regular sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements. Regular vision use for both near and far distances, including color differentiation. Regular verbal communication to ensure effective information sharing. Regular keyboard use and data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting items weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing is required. Licensure and Certifications: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association and Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or by Compact State.
