Director of Contracts- SOF GLSS 2 Program

This position is contingent upon contract award. Key Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of contract management for the SOF GLSS program, including solicitation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
Evaluate procurement requests to ensure alignment with USSOCOM mission requirements and internal approval protocols.
Collaborate with program managers, finance, and supply chain teams to develop acquisition strategies and execute competitive procurements.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and USSOCOM-specific directives, including flow-down requirements to subcontractors.
Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and modifications to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Review and approve procurement and contract documentation, providing recommendations for improvement or correction.
Serve as the primary point of contact for government contracting officers and DCMA representatives.
Oversee invoice review and payment authorization processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
Track and report on contract milestones, funding obligations, and performance metrics.
Ensure accurate contract data is maintained across internal systems and aligns with government platforms (, WAWF, PIEE).
Support audit readiness and respond to government inquiries, surveillance activities, and compliance reviews.
Lead contract closeout procedures and ensure proper disposition of residual funds and assets.
Escalate contractual issues to executive leadership when necessary and provide strategic recommendations for resolution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Contract Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of progressive experience in federal contract management, preferably supporting DoD or USSOCOM programs.
Proven experience managing complex contracts in a defense or government contracting environment.
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement regulations.
Experience with contract types including CPFF, FFP, IDIQ, and task orders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems (, Costpoint, Unison, or similar).
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required. Preferred Certifications Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
