Position Overivew
Firmo Construction is seeking a Procore-savvy, seasoned construction leader with 1020 years of experience overseeing project management teams and delivering ground-up commercial and hospitality construction projects.
As Director of Construction, you will oversee all construction operations across the Southeast mentoring Project Managers and Superintendents to drive budget, schedule, safety, and quality excellence.
Reporting directly to the President, this role partners closely with Project Accountants, Preconstruction, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless coordination, strong financial performance, and exceptional client satisfaction.
This position is based out of our Atlanta office, with regular travel throughout the Southeast for project oversight and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all construction operations across the Southeast to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Firmos standards of excellence.
- Oversee full life cycles of ground-up commercial and hospitality construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, compliance, and risk management.
- Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and quality.
- Team Development: Mentor and support Project Managers and Superintendents to align execution with client goals, strengthen team performance, and build future leaders. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with Accountanting Department to manage budgets, cost controls, and WIP reports. Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Client & Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Promote transparent communication, proactive problem-solving, and shared accountability for project success.
- Technology & Process: Champion Procore and other construction management tools to standardize project delivery. Develop and manage KPIs and dashboards to measure team performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Safety & Compliance: Enhance Firmos unwavering commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across all job sites.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Masters degree a plus).
- 1020 years of progressive experience in commercial construction, including 5+ years in senior leadership overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven record delivering ground-up hospitality, commercial, and multifamily projects ranging from $5M$50M.
- Strong expertise in project management, scheduling, cost control, compliance, and risk management across multiple job sites.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Superintendents.
- Experienced in developing and implementing SOPs, KPIs, and performance measurement systems to improve operational consistency and team utilization.
- Skilled in organizational planning and resource management, with the ability to forecast staffing needs and optimize utilization across projects.
- Financially literate, able to interpret WIP reports and convert performance data into actionable insights.
- Proficient in Procore, project dashboards, and other construction technology platforms.
- Licensed General Contractor (or ability to qualify) preferred; NASCLA Accredited Exam certification a plus but not required.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire); LEED AP or PMP credentials preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and the broader Southeast for project and client oversight.
