Director of Compliance

Summary: A long-established trust and financial services firm is looking for a Director of Compliance to lead regulatory oversight and protect both clients and the business. This role balances strategy and execution, with a chance to shape the compliance culture while navigating complex regulations in trust administration, fiduciary oversight, and financial law.

Location & Logistics: Salem, NH NH Residents: Hybrid option for NH residents after 90 days (3x onsite; 2x remote) MA Residents: 100% onsite 5x weekly ($150 monthly stipend given) Perks & Benefits Salary Range of $175K-$225K, depending on experience 35-hour full-time schedule that promotes work-life balance Generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, and lifestyle accounts 3% 401(k) contribution plus discretionary 5% profit sharing after one year 4 Weeks Vacation + Sick Time + Personal Days Off + Holidays Responsibilities Ensure ongoing compliance with financial regulations, including BSA, AML, and fiduciary laws Lead the development and monitoring of compliance policies, programs, and training Oversee risk assessments and create strategies to mitigate exposure Partner with leadership to advise on regulatory requirements tied to business initiatives Supervise and mentor a compliance team, building knowledge and accountability Represent the firm during audits, regulatory exams, and client discussions Qualifications CTFA or JD required 10+ years in trust administration and financial regulatory compliance Deep understanding of BSA, AML, and other financial laws and regulations Experience managing teams and developing compliance professional Strong background in legal or regulatory advisory role Comfort with occasional travel to Boston as needed (Estimated 1-3x quarterly)
