We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Compliance to lead our legal and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring our operations adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Position Summary The Director of Compliance will be a key leader within the organization, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive compliance program. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape of telehealth, pharmacy, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, capable of building a culture of compliance across the company. Responsibilities Program Development & Management: Design, implement, and maintain an effective and robust corporate compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls. Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis: Stay abreast of all new and changing federal, state, and local laws and regulations impacting telehealth, pharmacy, prescribing, and patient privacy (e.g., HIPAA, state pharmacy board regulations, federal and state telehealth laws, DEA regulations). Training & Education: Develop and deliver compliance training and educational materials to employees and contractors to ensure a clear understanding of their compliance obligations. Auditing & Monitoring: Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions. Policy & Procedure Creation: Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures to reflect current legal and regulatory requirements. Investigation & Reporting: Lead internal investigations into compliance concerns, and report findings to senior leadership and the Board of Directors as appropriate. Third-Party Oversight: Oversee compliance aspects of relationships with third-party partners, including pharmacies, physicians, and technology vendors. Advisory Role: Serve as the primary point of contact for legal and regulatory compliance questions, providing expert guidance to all departments, including Operations, Marketing, Product, and Customer Support. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks across all business functions. Licensing & Credentialing: Oversee the licensing and credentialing processes for all clinical providers and the company itself in various states. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is highly preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role, with significant experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. Deep expertise in HIPAA, state and federal telehealth laws, pharmacy regulations, and other relevant healthcare compliance frameworks. Proven track record of developing and managing a comprehensive compliance program. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business solutions.
