CURRENTLY HIRING! Director of Commissioning for a full service engineering firm working on exciting projects! Job Description The Director of Commissioning will oversee the operations of the office for the New York area. The role involves business development, project and personnel management, and ensuring project financial performance! Responsibilities Oversee the operations of the NYC/Metro Commissioning Office, including business development, personnel management, proposal generation, project execution, and job performance profitability. Serve as a working Director capable of executing projects as needed. Direct and develop the NYC/Metro Commissioning Business in conjunction with Corporate Commissioning Department growth. Implement standards and processes to streamline and improve the delivered product, focusing on providing the most value to clients. Manage project profitability and department billability, balancing personnel workload with the Corporate Commissioning team. Engage in business development in line with corporate goals. Track project financial projections and business development activities. Conduct new client introduction meetings and attend project pre-bid meetings. Develop proposals and fee estimations for review before submission. Analyze the NYC/Metro Commissioning market and competition to increase market share. Ensure the latest industry technologies and required training are available to Commissioning personnel. Essential Skills Minimum of 10 years of managerial, engineering, or construction experience. Proven track record in managing large, multi-faceted projects. Strong expertise in healthcare commissioning, especially in the NYC/Metro area. Commissioning certification and business development skills. Director-level commissioning experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Maritime academy background preferred. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related degree. Professional Engineer (PE) license.
