Position Overview Cherish Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Clinical Services (DCS) to lead our clinical team in the Springfield/Dayton Area. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on hospice care delivery while advancing your career in a supportive, mission-driven environment. The  Director of Clinical Services (DCS)  supervises the care and services provided by the Interdisciplinary Group and delegates nursing services in accordance with established practice standards. This role involves establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for hospice services that uphold quality standards and contribute to the agency's mission, vision, and philosophy. Director of Clinical Services (DCS) Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee all patient services delivered by clinical personnel
Support clinical team in enhancing hospice care services and ensuring compassionate, high-quality care
Interpret operational indicators to identify changes in census and volume impacting staffing, revenues, or expenses
Evaluate Clinical Team performance through regular assessments and feedback
Ensure proper maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, and reports
Assist in evaluating organizational performance through improvement programs and productivity reviews
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification
Maintain adherence to CMS Conditions of Participation and accreditation standards
Lead orientation of new personnel and foster collaborative environment for professional growth
Mentor clinical staff to embody core values of compassion and guidance
Director of Clinical Services (DCS) Qualifications Education & Licensure: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, minimum of BSN, MSN preferred.
Current RN license in Ohio with active status
Valid Ohio driver's license
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in hospice care
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in hospice operations and business management
Understanding of governmental and accrediting organization regulations
Skills & Competencies: Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health records
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice-specific compliance requirements
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding patient care and operations
