Requirements of the Director of Clinical Programmatic Solutions:
Must possess, as a minimum, an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
BSN, MSN, and Nurse Practitioners are highly preferred
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
3-5 years of experience with clinical program development in hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare background
The candidate should have extensive experience in clinical programmatic solutions preferably in a SNF setting
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership attributes consistent with organization
Driver’s License and reliable transportation. This is a primarily a remote assignment with some travel involved (~25%), regionally
Responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Programmatic Solutions:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct clinical development, as well as the programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
Maintain a reference library of written nursing material (i.e., PDR’S, Regulations, Standards of Practice, etc.) that will assist the nursing service department in meeting the day-to-day needs of the resident.
Develop, maintain, and periodically update the Policy and Procedure Manual to Administration.
Develop in-service training classes that provide instructions on “how to do the job,” and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
Provide training principles essential for nursing services
Develop, implement, and maintain effective programs, its policies and procedures, and to its clinical duties.
Encourage the nursing supervisory staff to attend and participate in training programs. Schedule times as appropriate.
Assist the Administrator in developing and revising curriculums used by the Facility.
Assist in developing annual Facility in-service training programs (e.g., OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, Safety, Infection Control, etc.).
Develop advance directive in-service training programs for the staff and community.
Develop and implement in-service training programs that relate to the nursing service department.
Ensure that these programs meet requirements for procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Design continuing educational programs to keep abreast changes in nursing.
Develop safety standards for the nursing service department.
Develop, implement and maintain a program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious diseases, including TB, among the residents and personnel.
Develop comprehensive plans of care for residents specific to various elements of care.
Assists in education and orientation of new Directors of Nursing.
