The HSCP Director of Clinical Practice and Coordinator has two primary responsibilities. The field coordination aspect includes maintenance of preceptors and clinical sites for all HSCP programs.This person serves as liaison between the programs and preceptors and clinical sites while actively engaging with the programs.The compliance domain requires a detail-oriented individual to manage a compliance program/database detailed for HSCP programs including student, faculty, and clinical affiliates. Serves as Director of Clinical Practice and Coordinator with the following: Manages a compliance program/database for all external agency and clinical preceptors for student credentialing to healthcare affiliates, to include location requirements for student credentialing (to support program accreditation, hospital accreditation. This may include health screenings, immunizations, licensure, and CPR/ACLS information. This may include establishing a process for maintaining clinical site affiliation agreements, along with a list of the sites and preceptors by program and including any CHPMS blanket agreements, as well as clinical documentation for students in secure, permanent location. Maintains an accurate database and communicates with students and respective faculty, advisors, and clinical faculty regarding health and regulatory compliance Participate in resolution of problems and compliance issues Manage outside credentialing healthcare affiliates DataBank (i.e. Silk Road) Communicates and manages relationship with American DataBank, Typhon, Complio, etc Provides compliance presentation at HSCP program orientations, clinical orientation or by appointment. Thoroughly explains the importance of maintaining health and regulatory compliance during school enrollment Respond in a timely manner to communications to/from Program Directors, students, faculty, healthcare affiliates and HSCP staff. Evaluate and coordinate placement sites Advising students on matters related to clinical site, documentation, preceptors, and healthcare affiliates etc. This may include hosting a clinical orientation for HSCP students. Oversee and maintain summative database each semester. Meet with program director and faculty to determine clinical preceptor needs . Recruit and initiate potential preceptors. Provide University information and follow-up for initial preceptorship Maintain all preceptor records (license, CV and evaluation). Conduct preceptor/clinical affiliate site visits, when it involves multiple programs. Facilitates the provision of required regulatory information to clinical preceptors and healthcare affiliates. Communicates/reports trends and issues related to clinical preceptors and sites. Follow University policy for initiating healthcare affiliates contacts Maintain a master list of agencies contact and approved contracts Recruitment of Preceptors/Clinical Affiliates: In conjunction with course coordinators, recruits HSCP alumni Host alumni events to actively recruit preceptors and affiliates (offering CEUs and access to BarryU resources) Coordinates annual preceptor orientation and/or workshops (i.e. Canvas, Typhon notification, etc.) Host webinars, manage mailers/email/social media communication to continue recruitment of preceptors and clinical affiliates Compliance/Accreditation data manager Assist Program Directors with the collection, organization, and reporting of required data for University and Accreditation required compliance. Data must be collected at least yearly and organized for various reports. Data may include enrollment, retention, program assessments, etc. Administrative support for Associate Dean Assist in data collection and coordination of Curriculum and Policy changes This is a hybrid (in-person/remote) position. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Five or more years of work experience in a clerical or administrative role may substitute the degree requirement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
