Position Description The Director of Cell and Gene Therapy is responsible for the strategic oversight of innovative cell and gene therapy programs, including CAR T, BiTEs, and TILs. This position requires a leader with deep clinical expertise and strategic acumen to guide the development and execution of these advanced programs across The US Oncology Network. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to build strategic relationships with physicians, practice leadership, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and other key stakeholders in our oncology ecosystem. They will be adept at aligning multiple departments towards common goals and fostering collaboration across the continuum of care. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the development and implementation of cell and gene therapy programs, including CAR T, Bi-Specifics, and TILs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and clinical best practices. Program Development: Build and develop comprehensive support for practice programs that ensure maximum performance, including patient identification, revenue cycle excellence, favorable payer contracts, pharma engagement, hospital partnerships, etc. Operational Excellence: Establish data collection and tracking standards for advanced therapies, developing a robust data repository and tracking tool over time. Practice Engagement: Interact with practices, providers, key stakeholders, and various business partners to ensure specified strategies and support are met, providing professional reporting and analytics. Resource Deployment: Influence resource deployment to drive appropriate strategies to ensure value delivery via a high-touch, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective models. Oncology Ecosystem Collaboration: Foster collaboration across the McKesson Oncology Ecosystem to align on common missions and optimize access to advanced therapies. Strategic Relationship Building: Build and nurture strategic relationships within the oncology ecosystem, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and other healthcare organizations, to enhance program development and execution for USON practices. Qualifications Experience: 12+ years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in clinical operations, strategy, or transformation consulting with increasing levels of responsibility. 4+ years of management experience. Skills: Exceptional project management and change management skills; process-oriented with potential Six Sigma training; ability to influence high-performing, cross-functional teams. Technical Proficiency: High-level proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, SmartSheet, PowerPoint, and other data visualization applications. Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with executive presence; ability to work independently and collaboratively; comfort with ambiguity and ability to structure issues logically. Critical Skills Transplant and Cellular Therapy Experience: High-level experience in transplant and cellular therapy is desirable. Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including developing effective presentations and engaging communications. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
