We have been engaged by a 500+ bed Level 1 Academic Medical Center in Texas to find a Director of Cardiovascular Services. This hospital is part of a much larger parent company with over thirty hospitals nationwide. This system includes Academic Medical Centers, over 4,000 licensed beds, and $4 Billion dollars in revenue. I have placed with this system several times and can tell you all about their growth opportunities (they plan to DOUBLE in size in the next decade), mission, and values! As accredited Chest pain center, this Heart and Vascular Institute provides comprehensive cardiology services including cardiac rehab, vascular testing, ECMO therapy, and a budding LVAD program. This Director will be over the entire service line plus the Cardiovascular ICU and Med Surg ICU. They will have up to 200 FTEs and report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, who has been with this system for over 15 years! She is described as being forthcoming in expectations and wants a leader who is familiar with ECMO and LVAD programs to ensure the highest patient satisfaction for those coming to their hospital. Must Have Requirements: BSN and RN required, Master's Degree in related field required within two years of hire.

6 years experience required in an acute care setting within cardiovascular services, 3 years of demonstrated clinical leadership required. Preferred Requirements: Certification in LVAD or ECMO program
