Job Summary
The Division of Finance and Administration is seeking a Director of Campus Services. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE),12-month, professional faculty position.
The Director of Campus Services is an experienced and innovative leader within the Division of Finance and Administration. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and Management, the Director provides strategic and operational leadership for a broad portfolio of essential service areas, including Parking and Transportation Services, Motor Pool Operations, Mailing and Shipping Services, Recycling Services, and Surplus Property Management.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, customer-focused, and sustainable delivery of support services that directly impact the daily life of the OSU community and contribute to the university's strategic goals related to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and campus experience.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning (25%) Develop and implement a strategic vision for campus services that aligns with OSU's broader institutional priorities, including sustainability, access, and operational efficiency. Lead cross-functional planning efforts to ensure service areas are responsive to current and future campus needs. Collaborate with university leadership, shared governance groups, and community partners to align services with academic, research, and campus life goals. Operational Oversight (35%) Direct day-to-day operations of Transportation Services, Motor Pool, Mailing and Shipping, Recycling Services, and Surplus Property. Oversee budget development, financial management, staffing, procurement, and resource allocation across all units. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as university policies and standards. Customer Service and Community Engagement (15%) Promote a customer service culture that emphasizes responsiveness, accessibility, and user satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for campus stakeholders regarding campus services operations and service-level expectations. Facilitate outreach and communication with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. Sustainability and Innovation (15%) Support and advance university-wide sustainability and climate action initiatives through departmental practices and strategic decision-making. Champion innovative technologies and practices that improve service delivery, reduce environmental impact, and enhance operational resilience. Team Leadership and Development (10%) Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of managers and staff across service areas. Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Promote professional development and succession planning within the organization. What You Will Need Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, facilities management, or a related field. A combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in campus services, auxiliary services, or operations management, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role. Demonstrated experience in budget development and financial oversight of complex operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide array of stakeholders. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
What We Would Like You to Have Experience in higher education, public sector, or similarly complex institutional setting. Knowledge of sustainability practices related to transportation, recycling, and resource management. Familiarity with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS), parking and fleet management platforms, or related technology tools.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Primarily office-based. Work schedule may include non-standard hours and periodic travel.
