We are seeking an innovative , strategic business development leader with a proven history of driving referral development and scaling growth in the healthcare industry. This role is responsible for shaping and executing innovative strategies, developing high-performing business development team, and managing territory expansion to strengthen our presence nationally.
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who excels at mentoring business development representatives, implementing structured training programs, and fostering collaboration to ensure consistent growth. A deep understanding of territory management, team development, and healthcare business dynamics is essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Innovation Define and implement innovative strategies to expand the company’s footprint in mental health services.
Build a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement within the business development team.
Introduce new tools, processes, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and market effectiveness.
Be the expert at all aspect of the CRM system including reporting, workflows, BD referral management and client touchpoints.
Team Development & Training Recruit, train, and mentor business development representatives, providing ongoing coaching and skills development.
Design and deliver structured training programs focused on sales excellence, referral development, and industry knowledge.
Establish a performance-driven team environment with clear expectations, KPIs, and growth opportunities while determining new tactile approached for each unique territory and representative.
Territory Management & Market Expansion Develop and oversee strategic territory plans, ensuring maximum market coverage and effective resource allocation.
Monitor territory performance, identify underdeveloped areas, and implement corrective action plans.
Lead and directly manage legacy territories to identify opportunities for growth and ensure referral success.
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities, assess competitive activity, and guide territory strategies.
Strategic Growth & Partnerships Cultivate and strengthen referral networks with psychiatrists, mid-level providers, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organizations.
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and community events, positioning the organization as an industry leader in innovative mental health treatment.
Align business development activities with organizational goals, collaborating closely with senior leadership and clinical teams.
Performance & Accountability Build and monitor business development KPIs, ensuring revenue and growth targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
Provide executive-level reporting on team performance, market intelligence, and pipeline health.
Ensure all business development efforts adhere to HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
7+ years of progressive sales and business development experience in healthcare, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven success in building, training, and leading high-performing sales teams.
Demonstrated expertise in territory management, referral development, and market growth strategies.
Established relationships and credibility within the mental health or medical community strongly preferred.
