Overview Director of Business Development, National Security & Intelligence at CesiumAstro. Focus on growing CesiumAstro’s portfolio within the US national security and intelligence communities. CesiumAstro develops and delivers out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We seek a hands-on, interactive, autonomous professional to join our team.

Responsibilities Develop and continuously update the DOD & Intelligence aerospace telecommunications electronics market potential and trends. Identify opportunities, write and submit RFI and RFP responses, and visit existing and potential customers. Interface with engineering and product development staff to articulate market gaps and customer demands. Assist in strategic and R&D roadmaps for the company. Lead top-line revenue growth for the company. Coordinate with Mission/System Architects, Chief Engineers, technical leads, and Program Managers to develop tailored solutions in response to customer needs. Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related discipline (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred). Masters degree in a technical discipline or business/management desired. Minimum 10 years of relevant business development experience in space or aerospace segments. Experience leading new business capture activities, development of classified proposals, and closing on new business in US national security markets. Background in solution selling and developing new markets with leadership from inception to successful engagement of a strategic campaign. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in the development of tailored solutions. Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors. Experience developing business with government and DoD customers. Effective presentation and proposal writing skills; experience presenting to senior decision-makers and technical audiences. Strong written communication skills and interpersonal abilities; positive, team-oriented attitude. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance. Compensation and Benefits $225,000 - $290,000 a year. Full-time employment offers include company stock options and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability, and retirement plans.
