Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Director of Blockchain Engineering to play a crucial role in developing a cutting-edge ZK-native, privacy-preserving Layer 2 infrastructure. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the entire technical stack, from protocol design through to production implementation. Collaborating closely with our cryptography and product teams, your goal will be to deliver a high-performance zkEVM-based ledger. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading engineering efforts for a Layer 2 rollup Building and optimizing a performant zkEVM with strong privacy guarantees Enhancing zk circuits and prover performance Recruiting, mentoring, and managing a diverse engineering team Driving strategic decisions regarding sequencer design, DA layers, rollup tooling, and bridging The ideal candidate will have a proven history of delivering blockchain/L2/zkEVM solutions from concept to large-scale implementation. Applicants should possess a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years in leading teams focused on blockchain or L2 infrastructure. In-depth hands-on expertise with ZK systems and a comprehensive understanding of Ethereum and zkEVM mechanics are essential. Moreover, you should demonstrate: Strong proficiency in Rust, Solidity, or zk circuit languages Exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities Experience with stablecoins, privacy-preserving assets, or programmable wallets Knowledge of sequencing, MEV protection, and interoperability frameworks Contributions to open-source ZK tooling or rollup frameworks will be viewed favorably.
