Job Summary/Basic Function Lead, reimagine and grow the College’s annual giving, class, reunion and student philanthropy programs (now totaling $6M annually) by providing donors more opportunities to make a difference and building communities of shared purpose. Develop and lead a comprehensive strategy by working closely and creatively with Individual Giving, Parent & Family Engagement, Alumni Engagement, the McAndrews Fund and Marketing & Communications teams. Create and test innovative strategies to see where the aspirations of the College most closely align with those of our current and potential donors. Manage and inspire annual giving staff members. Identify, recruit, train and grow our volunteer corps. Manage and lift the sights of the Development Committee of the Alumni Council by showing them how their time, talent and treasure can enrich the Dickinson experience. Work with the Marketing & Communications team to create and execute multi-channel solicitation strategies including mail, phone, email, social media and text. Leverage new technology such as Give Campus and the Volunteer Management System to execute strategic goals and objectives. Serve as a steward of and model the behavior of the divisions core values.
Essential Functions:
Lead and manage all strategic fundraising efforts for the College’s annual giving program, enhancing what has been proven to be best practice and explore ways the College can more readily adapt to changing philanthropic trends. Serve as highly visible, knowledgeable, curious solicitous and articulate representative of Dickinson with the objective of weaving segmented donor interests into a stronger community of shared purpose. Leverage Give Campus and the Volunteer Management System to serve the annual giving program.
Develop, manage and execute a multi-channel annual solicitation strategy for all members of the Dickinson community. Work with Marketing & Communications to develop and execute a plan of action.
Manage 3-4 reunion classes. Recruit, train and manage volunteers. Set and execute goals.
Effectively use current and historical data to evaluate the Dickinson Fund and implement program adjustments as needed.
Lead, mentor and manage the Dickinson Fund staff. Further develop fundraising skills; model best practices. Evaluate skills and growth.
Participate in planning for campaign priorities. Create opportunities for annual giving through each initiative.
Serve as a member of College Advancement’s leadership team by attending and participating in Program Directors meetings. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree – Liberal Arts degree preferred; field of study not defined
Valid PA Driver’s license A valid Driver's Licence is required. Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period. Yes Successful candidate will also be required to complete ACT 153 Clearance No This position is considered "Emergency Staff." As such they may be required to report to work even when the college is closed or is operating under a delayed start.
