The Director of Advancement is the chief architect of the YMCA’s resource development and community engagement strategy. This is a rare opportunity for a mission-driven leader to shape the future of an established community institution through strategic fundraising, advocacy, brand management, and relationship-building at the highest levels of civic and government leadership. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or related field.

Proven success in fundraising, including donor pipeline management, major gifts, and capital campaigns.

Experience in event oversight and community engagement strategies.

Strong relationship-building and political acumen to engage effectively with donors, community leaders, and government officials.

Demonstrated success in marketing/communications oversight and brand management.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Leadership experience with the ability to grow and mentor staff. Essential Functions Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, aligning advancement strategy with the YMCA’s overall mission and strategic plan.

Supervise and mentor the advancement team (currently one staff member, with potential for growth).

Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board, and committees to support long-term sustainability.
