The Director of Advancement Services is a key leadership role responsible for data integrity, donor information management, reporting and analytics, prospect research and moves management, gift processing, and overall support services that enable strategic fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. The Director plays a critical role in supporting decision-making through data-driven insights, managing systems and processes to maximize efficiency and compliance, and leading a team focused on continuous improvement to ensure the organization meets its fundraising goals.

What to expect.
The Director of Advancement Services is a key leadership role responsible for data integrity, donor information management, reporting and analytics, prospect research and moves management, gift processing, and overall support services that enable strategic fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. The Director plays a critical role in supporting decision-making through data-driven insights, managing systems and processes to maximize efficiency and compliance, and leading a team focused on continuous improvement to ensure the organization meets its fundraising goals.
Specific responsibilities include:
Data Management & Reporting
Oversee the maintenance, accuracy, and security of the donor database.
Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting philanthropic activity.
Ensure accurate and timely gift entry, acknowledgment, and receipting processes.
Prospect Research & Management
Lead prospect research efforts to identify, evaluate, and track potential major donors.
Work with gift officers to support moves management, portfolio development, and donor strategy.
Operational Leadership
Manage the Advancement Services team, including database administrator/gift processor and prospect researcher.
Set, document, and maintain policies and procedures for moves management, data management, gift acceptance, and compliance.
Compliance & Integrity
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, donor intent, IRS regulations, HIPAA, and industry best practices.
Manage data privacy and confidentiality protocols.
Technology & Innovation
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance advancement operations.
Serve as a key stakeholder in CRM and other system implementations or upgrades.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CFRE, CASE, AASP) preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in advancement services or nonprofit operations, including leadership roles.
Work requires knowledge of fundraising principles, gift management and processing, and prospect management
