This position's starting salary range varies by location and is eligible for annual incentives: Los Angeles, CA - $104,000 - $109,500 San Francisco, CA - $110,000 - $115,000 Overview The Director of ADR Services is responsible for driving business development in the assigned region, promoting dispute resolution services, and managing arbitration and mediation cases. The role involves building relationships with clients, advocates, and industry partners to promote AAA's ADR services. Essential Functions Serve as the primary case management contact for parties and mediators; make case decisions in consultation with the Regional VP. Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the ADR services business; develop strategic plans and pitches. Engage with the legal, business, and ADR communities to facilitate dispute resolution and promote AAA's services; maintain strong relationships. Deliver presentations to various stakeholder groups, communicating the organization's value. Manage cases and ensure proper data entry; exercise judgment and discretion in case decisions. Advise arbitrators on procedural and related matters. Analyze needs and trends using metrics; respond to inquiries promptly. Participate in hearings and provide feedback to improve service quality. Assist in recruiting and reviewing panel members. Monitor regional market trends. Support arbitrator training, education programs, and conferences. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security policies. Attend on-site meetings and training sessions. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in business, legal, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred). 3-5 years of related experience in business development, preferably in legal services, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to pursue and close new business opportunities and manage client relationships. Proficient in reading legal files, business correspondence, and procedures. Strong presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems. Ability to travel periodically (about 15%) for client meetings, training, and conferences.
