Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead our admissions department at our 446-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in beautiful Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Position Summary As the Director of Admissions, you will:
Oversee the entire admissions process for new residents
Build and strengthen referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and community partners
Implement outreach strategies through sales calls, professional presentations, and community events
Drive occupancy by increasing inquiries and expanding the referral base
Ensure a smooth, compassionate, and efficient transition for residents and their families
Key Responsibilities Assess potential residents off-site prior to admission
Conduct meetings with families and referral sources to coordinate care
Communicate with hospitals, insurance providers, and community resources regarding admissions
Manage bed availability and admissions/discharges to meet occupancy and census mix goals
Make outside sales calls to healthcare providers, senior organizations, and other referral networks
Monitor competitors, market trends, and industry changes in the skilled nursing and long-term care sector
Lead and train staff to handle admissions inquiries, tours, and paperwork
Prepare budgets, reports, and data tracking for admissions and census management
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Human Services, or related field preferred
Experience in skilled nursing facility admissions, healthcare marketing, or case management required
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care referral processes
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
Proven ability to collaborate across departments to meet admissions and occupancy goals
Schedule Full-time position
Hours may vary depending on facility needs; occasional evenings or weekends for outreach and community events
