Status: Exempt Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a wide range of environmental conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to caustic or toxic chemicals and a variety of maintenance and office equipment. The employee will occasionally be requested to lift up to 50 pounds. Position Summary: The Director of Administration provides highly competent services in the areas of all agency facility and risk management needs, to provide oversight and leadership to the Agency’s Facilities & Maintenance and Risk Management teams, to guide the development of Facilities systems and to provide administration level support for the agency’s facility and risk management needs. Essential Job Functions Plans for the proper upkeep of agency property and the effective utilization of agency resources needed for the upkeep. Plans for the implementation of the Agency’s strategic plan regarding facility renovations and expansion projects. Supports the Agency’s strategic initiatives for facility renovation and expansions. Demonstrates effective collaboration across departmental lines. Directs a team of employees to effectively implement the goals of the department. Oversees the implementation of the agency’s facilities ticket system. Oversees all areas of risk management for the agency. Oversees vehicle fleet management including monitoring and optimization of agency vehicles related to safety, efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Key aspects of this oversight include tracking vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption, monitoring driver behavior, managing regulatory compliance, and utilizing telematics and fleet management software for real-time data and analysis to improve operations and controlling costs. Other duties as assigned Requirements Travel to all facilities regularly is required. Requires a bachelor's degree or seven years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel computer programs. Other Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license, have and maintain a risk-free driving record. Must be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care disqualification list screenings. As requested, must submit fingerprints for review by the state of your employment and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with the results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
