The Director of Accounting provides direction for the consolidated Financial Reporting function at INTEGRIS Health, ensures all financial reporting functions provide accurate and compliant information to various stakeholders including annual external audit and tax preparation for all business units, financial analysis for CFO's and Department Directors, monthly closing process, reconciliation completion, with certification, and other material accounting issues. The Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Maintains a strong working knowledge of GAAP including FASB Pronouncements, IFRS, federal, state, IRS and local tax regulations and other compliance areas related to Financial Reporting. * Provides US GAAP interpretation and technical memorandum/accounting solutions to transactional events, including impact to financial statements * Controls financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), related to all businesses of INTEGRIS Health * Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, debt compliance / Internal and external financial reporting. * Supervises account reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (over 500 accounts) and ensures major system feeds from billing, accounts payable and payroll are properly integrated from an accounting and internal control perspective, as well as quarterly certification of accounts to CFO. * Directs year-end audit for all business units by working with external auditors, with the goal of an unqualified opinion. * Analyzes financial performance in order to support management in maximizing performance and minimizing monthly budget variances * Consults with INTEGRIS Health professionals and with outside consultants regarding optimal structure of business endeavors * Develops methods to monitor workflow and ensure that customer needs are being met in an accurate, timely and professional manner * Ensures departmental staff are managed effectively, including hiring, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed Reports to the assigned Vice President This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. * Bachelors degree in Accounting * Certified Public Accountant * 7 years accounting experience * 3 years healthcare experience * Strong knowledge of GAAP & IFRS is required * Strong knowledge of both federal and state tax regulations is required. * Supervisory experience * Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
