This leadership role will report directly to the Controller, and will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, compliant, and timely financial operations, general ledger management, internal controls, process improvement and systems optimization. Primary responsibilities include: Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Communicate complex accounting issues in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders. Drive continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations. Develop, implement, and monitor strong internal control policies and procedures Identify and mitigate financial risks through oversight of key controls and reconciliations. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team. Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive financial performance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and ensure organizational compliance with evolving GAAP, IFRS and statutory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the CPG industry Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements Proven ability to lead and develop a high performing team Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office suite Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic accounting/financial plans. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills High level of integrity and professionalism The role comes with competitive compensation (up to $210,000 Base plus 25% Bonus), as well as excellent benefits.
