MHS is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as Director of Nursing & Medical Services, guiding a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive, student-centered care. This role is pivotal in shaping the health and wellness landscape for our diverse student population and ensuring excellence in medical services across the campus. Anticipated start date on/after 2/2026. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight & Vision: Lead the development and execution of long-term health care strategies aligned with MHS’s mission and growth objectives. Team Leadership & Development: Inspire and manage a team of ~50 healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Operational Excellence: Oversee the operations of a state-of-the-art 40-bed Health Center and school-based clinics across elementary, middle, and high school divisions. Policy & Compliance Leadership: Ensure adherence to best practices, regulatory standards, and internal policies, including HIPAA, OSHA, and blood-borne pathogen protocols. Collaborative Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with external partners, including Penn State Hershey Medical Center, to enhance care delivery and specialty services. Wellness Advocacy: Champion student wellness initiatives and lead programming that promotes holistic health and preventive care. Crisis & Emergency Leadership: Share 24/7/365 on-call responsibilities, demonstrating resilience and sound judgment in urgent situations.
