Base pay range $190,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Madison-Davis, LLC Executive Researcher - Accounting & Finance Overview A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced Audit Director to lead audits focused on model risk, with an emphasis on Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) model governance and controls. This is a high-impact leadership role within the second line of defense, offering the opportunity to partner closely with senior stakeholders and influence the organization’s governance, risk management, and internal controls. This is a newly created position at the bank as they have leaped from a Level 4 to a Level 2 bank this year. The Model Risk Audit team will continue to expand and this new Director will play an integral role in assisting with that. Key Responsibilities Lead audits of model risk management practices, with a focus on CCAR models, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards (including SR 11-7). Oversee all phases of the audit process, from planning and fieldwork to reporting, ensuring work is completed within established timeframes and in accordance with internal methodologies. Partner with senior stakeholders to assess model governance frameworks, internal controls, and business processes, recommending enhancements where needed. Support the development and execution of the annual and quarterly audit plan for models used across financial and non-financial risk management. Provide clear, concise, and impactful written and verbal communications of audit findings to senior leadership and regulatory bodies. Conduct ongoing risk assessments and continuous monitoring to identify emerging trends and update audit strategies accordingly. Mentor and support junior audit staff and co-sourced professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives to advance the audit function’s capabilities. Maintain strong working relationships with internal business heads, external auditors, and regulators.
